Andy Keegan

I started listening to Genesis around the time I started plying guitar as a 15 year old, regularly sitting in a friends house watching the Live at wembley VHS. Over the next few years I started listening to other Prog bands such as Yes, Pink Floyd, King Crimson and Rush but Genesis were always and still are my favourite and I have been fortunate to have seen them on every tour since.

I quickly became interested in Tony Banks keyboard parts and decided to get myself a keyboard to learn all those amazing solo’s. I became more interested in keyboards and set about learning as much as I could.

Ray Manzarek Approves

In summer of 2004 a friend mentioned that he was forming a Genesis tribute with a friend and they were looking for a keyboard player. Having played a few of the solo’s at the audition I was asked to be part of the band which became the Carpet Crawlers. I now play in another keyboard heavy tribute band “The Doors Rising” emulating the great Ray Manzarek.

I was recently asked to deputise with Mama and the chance to play some of this great music again was too good to turn down. It really is fantastic to be able to perform this incredible music again with fabulous musician’s.

See you at a show!
