Mama to perform two unique shows at The Citadel in St. Helens, this coming weekend!

It’s been a busy few weeks, driving up and down motorways to perform shows in Kinross followed by Newcastle. Time for a local show we say! But, not just one local show. This time, we are bringing both our Genesis set and our hits set featuring the works of Collins, Gabriel, Mike & The Mechanics (and maybe a Hackett number), to St. Helens.

So, if you want tickets for either of these shows, grab them while they’re still on sale (because you can’t grab them when they’re no longer on sale can you?). Don’t wait until Monday. Monday is too late, mostly because the shows are on Friday and Saturday nights!

So, here’s everything you need:

Friday 7th October 2016 – Mama – Genesis set – The Citadel, St. Helens

Saturday 8th October 2016 – Mama – Collins, Gabriel, Mechanical Mike set – The Citadel, St. Helens

And with that little bit of news out there on the information superhighway, we’ve got a couple of videos to share with you. View full article »

NEW VIDEOS: Behind The Lines & I Know What I Like (Blackburn 2014)

Mama at The Citadel, St. HelensMama release videos of their recent show in Blackburn, featuring Behind The Lines & I Know What I Like

Today we have two new videos for you. We’re featuring the first track from our recent Blackburn show, along with the last track we performed, from our Blackburn show.

St. Helens

Before we get to the videos though, we thought we’d put out a quick reminder for our next two shows which are coming up fast on the same weekend. First up is The Citadel in St. Helens. This show is on Friday 10th October – that’s a mere three days away! If you haven’t got your tickets yet, head over to The Citadel website and buy them.

Bromley Cross, Bolton

Our next show after St. Helens is the very next evening. We’ll be at The Railway in Bromley Cross, Bolton. This is sort of a local gig for us, so we are expecting a fairly packed night. If you want to get in, we strongly recommend getting your tickets in advance. You can find out how, by visiting The Railway website.

Here’s the first video…. Featuring our new bass player David! It’s Behind The Lines.

And our second video for today, again featuring David on bass, it’s I Know What I Like.

Great gig… new bassist slotted in just right (I must admit I was worried about staff changes prior to the gig).

Having seen Genesis live before, wasn’t sure what to expect from a tribute band. To state that I was blown away, would be an understatement. You are, collectively brilliant. Many thanks for a FANTASTIC show at the Benn Hall in Rugby last night. If you would like to use this quote from me, please do so. As an avid fan, you were BRILLIANT. CAN’T WAIT TO MEET YOU NEXT TIME. Thanks for a great time.

Mama at The Railway, Bromley CrossThe next show? Why, that would be THE CITADEL followed by THE RAILWAY!

Onwards and upwards, our next show is at The Citadel in St. Helens on Friday 10th October. Last time we visited this venue, the atmosphere was to die for! Such a great audience. So, if you’re thinking of coming down, buy your tickets online from The Citadel website. The day after our St. Helens show, we have another show in Bolton at The Railway, Bromley Cross! In the meantime, here’s a couple of videos to show you what you might see at those shows:

The next video was hard to choose. We’ve already shared virtually the entire first half performance from our show at Thornton Little Theatre a few weeks ago. So we decided on this one, featuring Mr. James Cooper on the drums!

Mama at The Citadel, St. HelensHere’s hoping we see some of you at The Citadel in St. Helens or Bolton. Do come and say hello to us if you’re in the building. As always, we’d love a share on your Facebook timeline and a tweet if you’re so inclined. You can easily share this page on various websites, using the buttons below. Then check out the many videos we have on our Vimeo and YouTube channels and have a listen to our most recent recording. This is Tonight Tonight Tonight / Invisible Touch, recorded live from our front of house desk at The Winding Wheel, Chesterfield:

Why not tell us what you think of our recordings and videos by posting a comment below or joining the conversation on our Facebook Page? We’d love to hear from you.

MarkCo, guitarist with Mama has been busy!

This recording was previously posted on our exclusive content page but we’ve brought it out onto a public page to make room for some other content that’s coming up for our newsletter subscribers on the exclusives page. MarkCo informed the band he’s been working on some Genesis stuff with his acoustic guitar. We thought we’d share it here. Hope you enjoy it!

People ask us how they can help spread the word about Genesis, Genesis tribute bands and Mama in particular. We have one simple answer for you. Sign up to our email newsletter in the top right hand corner of every page of this website. How does this help us? Well, it massively reduces our costs when it comes to advertising our shows to you, the Genesis fans. This in turn allows us to spend the savings we make on new equipment, new lights and sound gear, better features for our website and above all allows us to branch out to different areas to put shows on. Our show is massively expensive to put into a venue. It needs ten of us to set it up and pull it down when the curtain closes. To bring Genesis to you requires a lot of hard work, time and money so any way we can save money makes the show that bit better. So you know what to do…. sign up to our email newsletter! We won’t spam you. We only ever send you an odd email when we have something exciting to tell you and we certainly won’t sell your details to some random email marketing company. So what’s to lose?  🙂

See you in St. Helens!
