NEW VIDEOS: Behind The Lines & I Know What I Like (Blackburn 2014)

Mama at The Citadel, St. HelensMama release videos of their recent show in Blackburn, featuring Behind The Lines & I Know What I Like

Today we have two new videos for you. We’re featuring the first track from our recent Blackburn show, along with the last track we performed, from our Blackburn show.

St. Helens

Before we get to the videos though, we thought we’d put out a quick reminder for our next two shows which are coming up fast on the same weekend. First up is The Citadel in St. Helens. This show is on Friday 10th October – that’s a mere three days away! If you haven’t got your tickets yet, head over to The Citadel website and buy them.

Bromley Cross, Bolton

Our next show after St. Helens is the very next evening. We’ll be at The Railway in Bromley Cross, Bolton. This is sort of a local gig for us, so we are expecting a fairly packed night. If you want to get in, we strongly recommend getting your tickets in advance. You can find out how, by visiting The Railway website.

Here’s the first video…. Featuring our new bass player David! It’s Behind The Lines.

And our second video for today, again featuring David on bass, it’s I Know What I Like.

Great gig… new bassist slotted in just right (I must admit I was worried about staff changes prior to the gig).

Having seen Genesis live before, wasn’t sure what to expect from a tribute band. To state that I was blown away, would be an understatement. You are, collectively brilliant. Many thanks for a FANTASTIC show at the Benn Hall in Rugby last night. If you would like to use this quote from me, please do so. As an avid fan, you were BRILLIANT. CAN’T WAIT TO MEET YOU NEXT TIME. Thanks for a great time.

Mama at The Railway, Bromley CrossThe next show? Why, that would be THE CITADEL followed by THE RAILWAY!

Onwards and upwards, our next show is at The Citadel in St. Helens on Friday 10th October. Last time we visited this venue, the atmosphere was to die for! Such a great audience. So, if you’re thinking of coming down, buy your tickets online from The Citadel website. The day after our St. Helens show, we have another show in Bolton at The Railway, Bromley Cross! In the meantime, here’s a couple of videos to show you what you might see at those shows:

The next video was hard to choose. We’ve already shared virtually the entire first half performance from our show at Thornton Little Theatre a few weeks ago. So we decided on this one, featuring Mr. James Cooper on the drums!

JC on Keyboards at AylesburyFirst Show of 2014

Our first show of 2014 took place at The Limelight Theatre in Aylesbury this past weekend and what a show it was! We had a great audience, the room had good acoustics and our light show worked really well after the upgrades we have made over the winter. Lot’s of positive comments were shared with the audience in the bar after the show and late on the band found a takeaway that had a teeny tiny restaurant in the back so we could stuff our faces with kebab, pizza and other worldly delights. Finally, the Holiday Inn proved to be a very comfortable hotel that, despite being built on a flood plain, didn’t flood. That was a bonus because it rained all weekend wherever we were in the UK!

Sound Desk Recording

So, to celebrate our show in Aylesbury, we’ve decided to share a short recording of Domino which was recorded straight out of the sound desk on the night. Well, we say short but Domino isn’t that short is it? Have a listen and see what you think: View full article »
