JW and Steve HackettMama to perform their 2013 tour show in Shaw and Newcastle

After a longish break from shows so that we could grab a holiday and catch up with the real world, we are excited to finally count down the last few days to two hotly anticipate shows in our 2013 gig list. First up is Friday night at Playhouse 2 in Shaw, near Oldham.

Playhouse 2 is a favourite venue of ours because we’ve had a great crowd in the past. A great crowd makes for a great gig. In fact, we sold out last time so if you’re thinking of coming down to this show, book your tickets now. Right now!

Tickets for Playhouse 2 are available on the We Got Tickets website (right now there’s only 19 left on the website!) and also from the box office which is hidden away in Interiors (a shop) just around the corner. You can contact Kirsty at Interiors on 01706 840 400. Here’s the details:

Friday 22nd November 2013 – Playhouse 2, Shaw

Ticket price: £12.00
Box office: 01706 840 400

The next show on the date sheet is the night after – Saturday! We’re really looking forward to this one too because it’s our first visit to the North East and it’s our first time performing at an O2 Academy venue. You can buy tickets for this show on the O2 Academy Newcastle website. The details:

Gigs, gigs & more gigs!

Want to know what the band have been up to in the last few weeks? Well for some strange reason, there were a huge number of great gigs to go and see over the last few weeks. Some or all of the band have attended shows by Peter Gabriel (you can read a review by John W in the previous post), Steve Hackett, Marillion, Brit Floyd, Manc Floyd and a couple of other Genesis tribute bands. All great gigs but we are now ready to get back into putting on a show Mama style, it has to be said.

Mama montage mania

Our very own John C got busy with a computer system and created a new montage of Mama music for us. You can listen to it here:

New Mama video of Mama performing Mama

Finally, we uploaded a new video of Mama performing Mama to our Vimeo Channel a few weeks ago. It has been featured already at the top of our website but that video changes periodically, so we thought we’d include it here:

We hope you enjoyed the audio and video clips. Don’t forget if you want to discuss them in detail with the band and other Mama followers, our forum is once again open. If you create a user account, please email us to let us know so that we can enable the account for you. Otherwise, your account will deleted automatically after ninety days. This is the only way we can assure that our forum doesn’t get bombarded with spam postings.

Hope to see you at one of the above Mama shows this weekend! 🙂
