Christmas? A Birthday? Or both?
It’s Christmas and the band is officially turning one year old! A mere year has gone by and we’ve racked up a steady 16 gigs in 10 counties, selling over 1,800 tickets. We’ve released 17 different videos on our Vimeo Channel and had 144 excellent comments on our website. We’ve picked up 1,300 likes on our Facebook page and our discussion forum has seen people discussing the band and Genesis themselves all year round. On Twitter we’ve had an excellent run, gaining over 1,000 followers from all over the world. In short, 2012 was a great year for the band thanks to you.
2013 beckons for Genesis fans everywhere
If 2012 was the year that the band was put together and built into a full show, 2013 is going to be the year we build our audiences and bring the show to new people. We’ve made significant investments in our sound equipment, our videos, merchandise lines, our promotion and of course put in a lot of work to perfect our set list over 2012, which we will be adding to for 2013. We also intend on building our light show to compliment the bands performance for 2013 and we have several new Genesis pieces in the pipeline to refresh the setlist. So, exciting times ahead!
Update on our gig list
Our published gig list has dwindled recently, but not to worry. This doesn’t mean we don’t have any shows for 2013. Quite the opposite in fact. We’ve just not published them yet, so here’s a quick heads up, in no particular order. We’ll be performing shows in these areas, with more to be added:

- Bridgnorth (Theatre on the Steps)
- Bolton (Moses Gate)

Dates for your diary
There are a couple of dates you really don’t want to miss. The first is our big show for 2013 at The Rose Club (formerly Monaco Ballroom) in Hindley near Wigan. The show will take place on Saturday 30th March – that’s Easter Saturday! This gig is the biggest we’ve ever attempted and it’s costing us a small fortune to put it together, so we really need to sell as many tickets as possible. The show will feature a stunning four and a half hours of prog from Mama, Manc Floyd and Stillmarillion. Tickets are now on sale on the EventBrite website priced at £20.00 and £30.00. This is great value when you consider you’re getting an amazing venue with three great bands all in one long evening! So head over there now and buy your tickets! We’ll be working out a hotel deal shortly for those that wish to travel and stay over. Who’s up for an after show party?

More spectacular dates
Also of note, our first appearance at the world famous Cavern Club will be on the 1st March 2013 and we will of course be again appearing at Tribfest but this time we will be on the main stage! Finally, there is much happening in the world of Genesis in 2013 with a Peter Gabriel tour and of course Genesis Revisited II is being toured by Steve Hackett!
Thanks very much for your support in 2012 and all that remains is for Mama to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year and we will see you in 2013!
